Meditation FAQs

  1. Do we have to sit cross legged on the floor?

No, no need to sit on the floor or with you legs crossed. The ideal position for meditation is one where you will be as comfortable as possible while still being awake and aware. So when we practice meditation we sit in a chair with our feet on the floor with nice straight, supported backs. You need to be comfortable as you will be sitting still for a while.

2. Can meditation be practised by anyone/

Yes meditation can be practised by anyone, but it should be avoided during a mental health crisis or during a period of chronic or acute depression. After the time of acute depression has passed meditation can be practised to help keep depression at bay.
